I am proud that I have been able to build DIVERSANT, a successful business that not only allows me to provide for my family including our employees and consultants. I am proud that I have played a part in helping 1000s of people find jobs and had the opportunity to mentor other current and aspiring minority entrepreneurs along the way
Gene Waddy is the heart behind Diversant, the largest African-American owned staffing and consulting firm. The New Jersey native, who is committed to helping others, has planted offices in five states with more than 600 consultants working nationwide-- hence being named as a 2013 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year among other titles.
With his extensive background in the staffing and technology services industry, Waddy continues to make waves around the country by developing transformative programs that promote diversity in the workforce and supply chain, including coaching minority youth about technology in his local community.
"One of my guiding principles can be crystallized by the words 'Lift as You Climb'. In other words, stay humble. Reach out and help others who are trying to climb the ladder of success. It’s just like your mama always told you, 'It never hurts to be nice to people-- especially those that don’t always deserve it'," says Waddy.
