It’s starts one soul at a time. Expect greatness and change.
A disciple is a follower of a leader that preaches and spreads the gospel to create more leaders. Now add the modifier – street. Think of street in the contextual since of the urban environments that are plagued with crime and poverty.
Combine the two words street and disciple, and you have two gentlemen that walk the streets and preach positivity amongst black youth. Adrecus Culbreath and Javon Gay mentor youth in detention centers and high schools to help young men and women see their value.
“We are out here on the streets giving the same wisdom and knowledge that we acquired and giving it back to the youth so that we can stop this constant cycle in our community," says Gay.
Both men are young, and previously wrangled by the streets. However, both experienced epiphanies that altered the course of their lives. The gentlemen met and bonded at an Urban League event, and cultivated a powerful duo.
“We are the combination to move nations,” says Culbreath
