Jaha Howard is raising three children – two boys and a girl. History somewhat repeats itself. Both he and his wife were part of families with three children.
In other ways, Howard changes history as a parent. His father was a hard worker. Work ethic is an awesome trait that Howard inherited. However, work ethic for his father was so important that it became the only thing that defined fatherhood.
“I didn’t come from a family where my dad would hug a whole lot. He didn’t say I love you. He didn’t come from a family like that. But I can recognize that my son needs that. He loves it. I’m gonna hug on him.”
Also, Howard introduces spirituality as a critical component to his family. Howard is a deacon at his church. His heavenly father helps him to define fatherhood, and helps him to be a better father.
